Applying for a Scholarship

Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

The Paul R. Willging Scholarship will be available to those students who intend to pursue a career in either managerial or service delivery position in the field of aging related services.  Those who are in other areas of study are also eligible but conditioned on the student’s written expressed commitment to pursue a career  and/or studies related to the care of seniors  and/or gerontology. A minimum 3.0 GPA is required.  Awards will favor those who have financial need.

Eligible incoming and current full-time and part-time, degree-seeking students at Howard Community College may apply.  Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until all funds have been allocated for the academic year.  Priority is given to students who complete the application process by the March 1 priority filing date each year.  Awards are granted for the spring and fall semesters only.
